For those new to our site. or to the CSA concept more generally, you might be asking yourself, what is a CSA?  Great question. CSA simply stands for “Community Supported Agriculture” and essentially represents a partnership between the local community and a local farm.  More specifically, a CSA is a box subscription or membership where members pre-order and receive items from the farm each week.   A CSA is a great way to invest in local agriculture and help support small-scale growers by providing them with a dependable revenue stream that helps sustain their farm business.  By joining a CSA, members are provided with direct access to the highest quality produce, all the while establishing a sense of community with local farms.

At Clay Fish Farm, we offer 10-week CSA memberships each season.  As part of our 10-week Fall CSA, your subscription will feature 6 items each week.  These items represent the “freshest of the fresh” we have on our farm that specific week and generally includes a leafy green item (e.g. Kale, Arugula, Lettuce Blend, etc.), a Microgreen, and four Fall (and late summer) produce options such as winter squash, broccoli, cauliflower, peppers, beets, spinach, carrots, beans, cabbage, sweet potatoes, and more!  Within the six items there will be selected choice options plus opportunities to "scale-up" your week's share--if you so choose--by adding additional items beyond the 6 or standard box.

Our Fall CSA will begin on two separate dates: September 14th and October 5th. The total cost for our 10-week Fall CSA is $300.  In terms of payment options, you can choose to pay the total amount up front, or you can choose to pay on a weekly basis ($30 each week).  Currently we only accept cash, check, or Venmo payments – we are however, working toward making ecommerce (electronic) payment options available directly through this site.  Weekly box pickups will take place at Tufts Park in Pinehurst on Saturday mornings.
